The fairytale village of Sant'Agata de' Goti stands majestically on a tufa plain, dominating the surrounding land where time has kept the rich agricultural traditions intact. It is here that the apple orchards laden with red fruit can be seen. Here is the queen of the forbidden fruit: mela Annurca. A prized variety typical of the Campania region, mela Annurca has always been known for the health benefits of its pleasantly acidulous and juicy flesh. This variety of mela has been known since time immemorial, to the extent that it is featured in some Pompeian paintings and in those found at the excavations in Herculaneum, in particular in the House of the Deer.

MELA BENEFITS

The high content of vitamins (especially vitamin C) and minerals (iron, calcium and potassium) gives this fruit protective and functional properties. Its skin has a high content of oxalic acid, with well-known purifying properties. It is also rich in polyphenols with a profound antioxidant effect.

Our formulas

The entire mela range is enriched with extracts of mela, elderberry and distilled mint water, which have a purifying and soothing effect.

The cleansers in the range are predominantly plant-based and are free of SLES/SLS parabens and mineral oils. The moisturiser is a fluid yet full-bodied emulsion based on shea butter and African mango butter with nourishing and protective properties. It contains no parabens, mineral oils or colourants. The hair products are enriched with panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) and vitamin B6 to strengthen the hair fibre.
